Your natural lips. Beautifully enhanced.
A lip lift is designed to elevate a thin or downturned mouth. It is done under local anesthesia and subtly lifts the corners of your mouth and shortens the distance between your upper lip and the base of your nose.
If you have a permanent frown or a large space between your nose and the top of your upper lip, a subtle lift can create a more attractive and pleasant expression.

Dr. Pryor can help you determine if a lip lift is in your best interest after discussing your cosmetic goals and evaluating your lips during an initial consultation. However, we generally recommend the procedure to patients who have:
The upper lip lift shortens the distance between the mouth and the base of the nose. By exposing more of the teeth and increasing the amount of pink lip that can be seen, the procedure creates a more attractive and youthful look.
The corner lip lift involves subtly elevating the edges of your mouth to create a more pleasant and relaxed appearance. It is designed for patients who look as though they are permanently frowning.
Your surgical experience will vary depending on which lift you are having done. Both are performed under local anesthesia and Dr. Pryor will make sure that you are still able to move your mouth naturally after surgery. Here’s what to expect during each procedure:
The upper lip lift will begin with Dr. Pryor creating a small incision at the base of the nose and removing a precise amount of skin and tissue. From there, he will elevate the lip to a new, heightened position – exposing your teeth, increasing the amount of pink lip that can be seen, and restoring a beautiful shape. The entire process takes about 90 minutes to complete.
The corner lip lift can be done on its own or in conjunction with the upper lip lift. To perform the procedure, Dr. Pryor will remove a small wedge of tissue from each corner of your mouth. As he sutures the openings back together, he will subtly elevate the edges and create a softer and more relaxed expression.
Once your lip lift is complete, you will be free to return home and begin the recovery period. Here is a quick look at what to expect as you heal:
