Kiss Your Cellulite Goodbye

Cellulite can be nearly impossible to get rid of through diet and exercise practices alone. This is because it is often caused by a structural issue that cannot be changed through simple weight loss alone. Cellulaze can help. It is an effective, non-surgical treatment option that addresses the root causes of cellulite and brings patients long-lasting results. Best of all, Cellulaze can be performed in the comfort of our office.

Transformations Plastic Surgery provides patients with a broad range of both surgical and non-surgical aesthetic treatment options. Our primary goal is to provide our clients in the Rockford, IL area with comprehensive procedures that meet both their aesthetic goals and recovery expectations.

How Does it Work?

There are a variety of different factors that contribute to the development of cellulite, including genetics, weight fluctuations, hormones, and aging. Any of these factors can cause connective tissue beneath the skin to stiffen. In turn, this pushes fat cells up towards the surface of the skin, giving it the "cottage cheese" effect characteristic of cellulite. Because diet and exercise cannot loosen this connective tissue, cellulite is largely unaffected by weight loss or muscle gain.

Many cellulite treatments focus on smoothing over the surface of the skin. Instead, Cellulaze works to both smooth the surface of the skin and address the connective tissue that was the initial cause of cellulite.

What is Treatment Like?

Before treatment begins, the patient's areas of cellulite are marked, and they are administered a local anesthetic. Once the effects of this anesthetic have kicked in, tiny incisions are made at each of the previously made marks. The small Cellulaze laser fiber is then threaded through a small tube and inserted into these incisions. The laser fiber is then gently passed over the fat cells to level out the skin and relieve tension from the connective tissue. The entire treatment process typically takes between 1-1.5 hours.

Patients typically require 1-2 days for recovery, but after this time they may return to their daily activities. Bruising and swelling are common in the weeks following treatment. Results of the treatment become visible over time, with peak results appearing 3-12 months after treatment. Ready to get rid of your cellulite?
