When you have experienced massive weight loss, the end of that journey can leave you with loose, sagging skin and tissue. Unfortunately, once the skin has been stretched to a certain degree, it will continue to sag and droop unless surgically corrected. Over time, as your skin stretched to accommodate weight gain, it can lose its ability to bounce back.
Sadly, there is no amount of diet or exercise will help your skin regain its supple elastic quality. A body lift performed by Dr. Landon Pryor can finally allow you to have the trim, fit body shape you have worked so hard to have.
When you have lost a significant amount of weight, it is common to be left with loose, hanging skin on abdomen, thighs, buttocks, arms, and flanks. Your dreams of having a tight, toned body at the end of your weight loss journey are incomplete, even after achieving an ideal weight. Body lift surgery can help to sculpt the beautiful, firm contours that allow you to wear tight or revealing clothing with confidence.
A body lift will allow you to sculpt the beautiful new curves of your body, removing excess skin and fatty tissue from the abdomen, back, hips, thighs, and buttocks. Following body lift surgery, you will also experience:
If you are experiencing excess skin accompanied by pockets of fatty tissue which interferes with your ability to live life to the fullest, you may be an excellent candidate for a body lift. People who have lost a significant amount of weight, whether through bariatric surgery, following pregnancy, or through diet and exercise, often live with extreme skin laxity and drooping skin. This can cause painful chafing and skin rashes, not to mention impacting your self-image. Dr. Pryor will happily meet with you to discuss your vision for body contouring and let you know if you are a candidate for body lift surgery.
Each body lift procedure is unique, tailored to the specific needs of the individual patient. Dr. Pryor will provide you with post-operative instructions that will guide you through your recovery. Many patients experience moderate discomfort following a body lift. Dr. Pryor will provide you with pain medication to allow you to recover in comfort. You should be able to return to work approximately two to three weeks following your procedure and may resume light exercise in two weeks. You will also be instructed to wear compression garments for one to two weeks following your body lift to aid with any swelling and allow your body to heal properly.
You have worked so hard to achieve your weight loss goals, and now it’s time for you to reap the benefits of your journey. Dr. Landon Pryor sees it as a privilege to guide you through the process of realizing your vision for a healthy, firm, attractive body. His eye for body symmetry and technical skill will allow him to sculpt the fit, firm, attractive body contour you deserve.
